Perfect place for morning tea, or even a light lunch gathering - easy parking and access, toilets down the hall, and more importantly a wonderful range of good honest food well-prepared from which to choose. We decided to give our diners the choice of fresh scones or raisin toast, and beverage of their choice. That allowed Brendan and Kellie to prepare ahead. I visited Lab Espresso Bar for lunch. I ordered a vegetarian Turkish. Combination of sweet potato, zucchini, cheese and pesto, slightly toasted it was delicious. I also ordered an ice coffee. It came in a science beaker which was very cool. So nice to have something different than the overused mason jar! The cafe itself has been fitted out in a sciencey theme. Simple but very effective black and white decor... very funky. The service was fantastic and fast and there is ample parking. You can choose to sit inside in the air conditioning or outside. Definitely worth a visit. Great spot for locals!
Well what can I say, fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly service. If you luv a great coffee then it's a must when visiting the Northern end of the Gold Coast. Contemporary and Modern Decor make it a joy, to sit and enjoy a great coffee or one of the many homemade tasty treats on offer from this Husband & Wife duo. Keep up the hard work and well done. Looking forward to my morning coffees.
Eggs benne was below average the toast was soggy the eggs were hard the hollandaise sauce was like water if you are going to go to the effort to make your own sauce you should know how to thicken it there was also kids screaming and running around not pleasant at all won't be back.

Was early for an appointment nearby so called in for a coffee and a nibble. Ordered the Iced Coffee and a Crushed Avocado on Turkish Bread with Pesto - what a treat! Staff are lovely. Service is quick and the Lab presentation of drinks is clever. Will definitely stop here again!
We love this place ! Great coffee, cakes. Not to mention the excellent service. the owners are so obliging. Would like to keep this place a secret but it's new and want it to be successful which I'm sure it will be.
love coming here for a nice cup of coffee and a chat. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is always friendly. The pastries and sandwiches are also delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Great coffee, excellent food, friendly service - a cool new oasis in Runaway Bay. This just may be my new local for a coffee break.
