The Mallard Lounge And Terrace

On this occasion, a friend and i chose mallard for its great food and atmosphere for a long over due catchup. We're local and we know the mallard always delivers. But not this time. and not the last time we went either. to be honest it seems to be having a hard time lately.This time, the ginger ale i ordered was flat and no flavour so i sent it back. The second drink was what you'd expect.We split a Cobb salad and a chicken burger. The salad was sloppy, and when we went to eat the Burger crispy chicken is was just all crisp. no chicken. I've visited this restaurant dozens of times, but tonight was one of my best experiences yet. Lianne provided exceptional service and really enhanced our dinner. She's a delight to interact with and offered fantastic recommendations. The new winter cocktail menu is fantastic! A special shoutout to bartender John for crafting the 1861 cocktail—it may sound unusual, but it's absolutely worth a try; it’s my favorite cocktail I've ever had there. The Everything But the Kitchen Sink cocktail is also amazing. Thank you, L&J; I can't wait for my next visit!

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, precisely what you would anticipate from a Fairmont Hotel. The classic vibe and excellent service create a pleasant experience; however, the food leaves something to be desired. Given the Fairmont's reputation, I expected more flavor. I ordered the beef bourguignon, which surprisingly lacked lardons and pearl onions, and the mashed potatoes were bland, accompanied by dried carrot and asparagus that had clearly been left under the heater for too long. On a positive note, the drinks and service were fabulous.

Dinner and a show! No host/hostess so you just sit down wherever there's a seat and then someone will come serve; we didn't wait more than a few minutes and got drink orders in. So if you're here for food, the prime rib roast is awesome I think it's gotta be the best roast I've had out. It's a huge piece too. Partner had chicken sandwich, not as good, I got him to help me out with the prime rib... that jus was fantastic! And the show part he was super talented and got audience participation happening... all very cool. Réservez une table maintenant

The Mallard Lounge is a fantastic space in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Live music, big fireplace, drinks food dessert. We sat outside on the terrace beneath heat lamps and around a gas fireplace. Very cozy, but big Adirondack chairs were a little uncomfortable. Shame that the night we went, the two bartenders were so far below Fairmont standards given how much you’re shelling out.

It's rare that a place lives up to expectation.Went for lunch. My wife said it was the best beef dip she has ever had. My burger was amazing and drinks are reasonably priced. Together with the great service and atmosphere, it was a great experience.Prices are a little higher but you can taste the difference in quality.We will definitely be back.

The daily live music is definitely a highlight. There's a wide selection of food and drinks for a lounge setting. The standout feature was the bartender's ability to create a customized drink. It wasn't quite the same, but it was very close. This is a great place to unwind in the evening if you're staying at the Fairmont hotel.

Mallard lounge used to be so much better. Went in for lunch. Pretty basic menu which is no problem. $35 for a sandwich and fries it better be decent. 4 of us had 3 separate meals and all were mediocre at best. Milestones does it better at half the price. That's right, milestones... Save some money and go to earls.. Réservez une table maintenant

Beyond delicious. Great food and live music as well! definitely worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel
