I decided to visit this restaurant on a whim with my partner after dinner nearby. Although I had never been there before, my partner had and thought I would enjoy it. The staff at the door were friendly and accommodated us even though we did not have a reservation. We were seated at a table downstairs and given menus and water. I chose my cocktail, while my partner was still looking at the menu and used a torch because he is short-sighted. Unfortunately, the waiter mistakenly thought he was drunk and refused to serve him, asking us to leave. We were only there for less than 10 minutes and were confused by the abrupt treatment. Made a reservation to “see the mayor” with my friend and our two daughters who just turned 21. We all absolutely loved it! Such a different thing to do. The girls were v excited to walk through a fridge into a speakeasy! The staff were all warm and friendly, service was great, as were the cocktails and the fries! And the venue itself was super cool, intimate and had a great buzzy vibe. I also loved the old Smash Hits magazine pages on the bathroom walls! Would def return.
I absolutely adored this restaurant! I was recommended to visit this place by someone when I mentioned I was going to London, and my friend had also heard great things about it. It definitely lived up to the hype, with a fantastic atmosphere and excellent drinks. I tried the Tea with Mayor, I can't remember the exact name but it was delicious. If you ever find yourself in London, do yourself a favor and check out the Mayor restaurant. You won't be disappointed!
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to help us. We had been looking forward to dining here for 18 months and we were not let down. The only issue we had was that one of the bathrooms was extremely dirty. Aside from that, our experience was perfect in every other aspect.
