We arrived in Cape May late Friday evening (around 8 pm) and Maria at The Queen Victoria B&B called over immediately as soon as she found out that we were starving and knew the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. Dave mentioned that he had not made reservations earlier in the day because we were not sure when we were arriving (it was a long 3 hour drive). The folks at The Merion graciously made us a reservation for 8:30 giving us time to get settled in. This was our second time at The Merion and once again, we were not disappointed. We’ve been spending the weekend before Christmas in Cape May for the last 8 years. Fortunately we discovered The Marion Inn on our first trip and it’s been I’d say the main fixture during our visits. We’ve been bringing friends with us for years and all agree this place is fantastic. Our food and service has always been nothing short of the very best. It’s not just great culinary experience, it’s the whole ambience.

Absolutely fantastic! The early bird special is unbeatable. I enjoyed a grilled Portobello mushroom stuffed with quinoa, accompanied by asparagus and potatoes, all beautifully presented alongside grilled salmon. The flavors were outstanding! The ambiance is wonderful—truly a classy establishment.

Merion Inn is a treasure of Cape May! Service is always on site; very creative menu with a few long-term favorites (balanced flounder or filled lobster); and the piano bar has some of the most talented musicians you would find everywhere! Réservez une table maintenant

As always, it was fantastic! The stuffed lobster was to die for! The French onion soup and oysters were amazing too! The atmosphere is consistently great, and the piano performance was lovely. Our server, Kathy, was absolutely wonderful!

From start to finish, one of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had. Setting was beautiful. Food was phenomenal. Service was exceptional. A very pleasant date night with my wife. We will recommend this place to everyone we know!

Have been going to Cape May for 50 years and never ate here before. That will Never Happen again. Top-notch food, staff, and atmosphere. Great price for the quality of food and service. Will return every trip to the Cape.

Victorian style restaurant with a great bar and restaurant. Great location and friendly staff. Worth a visit.
