relaxed mood, friendly staff, wonderful coffee and tee and tasty tasty. in the interior of revelstoke, this small bakery offers a homely ambiente with original artworks on the walls for sale, a living clientele of native and visitors alike, and a menu that focuses on quality...over quantity. a simple five stars. my only suggestion (not a critique): consider the production of the grilled cheese sandwich with miracle whip or similar. gives a brownish taste and makes the entire experience less dry. that said the serving here was excellent with fresh bread and a plentiful part of cheddarkäse.
This is our go to' place whenever we go to Revy.....they have the best Americano's around and have done a great job evolving the cafe....love that the history of this place has been kept in it's intergrity. The new ownership is doing a fantastic job...with great quality, local made yummy food and put a personal spin on making sure that this wonderful place continues to represent Revelstoke and it's great hospitiality for the future. This is a must visit !! PS..loved your distance markers with local and biz trivia....
my daughter and I stumbled over this beautiful bakery and caffe during a day trip to revelstoke. lunch was tasteful and inventive with beautiful presentation and the desserts? wow! incredible. the service also incredible. the young lady who served us at the counter was lovely. what a friendly funky vibe. I can't expect to visit revelstoke again and of course the modern caffe.
We made a point to check out all the local spots during our week ski vacation here and this is by far the best place for a quick bite/ coffee. Service is fast food is all pre made in house so it’s very quick ..delicious. Amazing quality the breakfast panini may be the most delicious breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had and it was very fast.
In prep for a birthday celebration on the road we took home a variety of goods. Butter tart. Carrot cake. Lemon square and sausage roll. Best sausage roll ever. Pastry. Savoury but not dry sausage meat. Wish I’d grabbed a dozen. Next road trip Modern...will be a destination and we will stock up for the road ahead.
We were just driving through and needed a drink so we googled a coffee shop and Modern Bakery came up. There was a bit of a lineup outside but we waited and so glad we did. There was also a bit of a wait for...our order but the Chai Latte was very good as well as the regular Latte so glad we waited.
