My wife and I always enjoy staying at the Hotel Adagio and beginning or ending our evening at The Mortimer. After our most recent experience, I can say we could spend our whole evening at The Mortimer. The drinks and service are absolutely amazing in large part due to the bartender Luis. His drinks are a true experience and a departure from standard hotel bar blandness. I think I’ve found my new favorite bar in San Francisco! We were on the lookout for a place to enjoy a cocktail and a bite to eat when I stumbled upon The Mortimer on Yelp. It was a nice surprise that it was only a two-minute walk from the Warwick hotel where we were staying. Luis, the bartender, is a true craft cocktail wizard. Who would have thought butternut squash could be used in a cocktail? It not only works, but it's one of the tastiest drinks I’ve ever had! I woke up late after a tiring day and discovered that there were very few good restaurants open after 8:30 PM in the Union Square area. Fortunately, The Mortimer was just down the street, and it did not disappoint! We had an amazing bartender who served us while we sat at the bar. I ordered a salad with New York steak, and my wife chose the salmon. Both of us were extremely pleased with our meals and the service we received.

I was staying at the hotel and my sister and I decided to grab a bite to eat. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience—the fries were undercooked and the pizza was just mediocre. However, the staff was really friendly, and honestly, I would consider dining there again if I stay at that hotel in the future. They do offer a wide variety of choices for a hotel restaurant!
The bar at the Hotel Adagio. It's quite nice. When I visited, it was quiet, but the staff was attentive and friendly. The bartender was on top of his game. Lots of seating and while attached to the main lobby, it's still easy to have intimate or group conversations. Liked this bar better than some of the recommended trendy ones we ended up at.
I ate here for a week and a half and enjoyed every meal its consistently great. Also the help was excellent (Eric Woltemate made sure every thing was perfect)
Luis is incredible! He crafts amazing cocktails that he tailors to each guest. The vibe he creates adds a fantastic atmosphere for everyone.

Delicious breakfast! I had the feature today- chorizo scramble with potatoes and toast. Servers were nice and food came quick.
