Very disappointing fairly regular customers, but the experience on Sunday 29th was not acceptable. My family and I went specifically for the carvery, but unfortunately (bearing in mind that payment was pre- taken) the experience was poor. basically there was next to nothing left ?? no beef no Gammon no mash only x2 out of 5 vegetables available and no cranberry and sauces. Visited with my mother and grandparents earlier in the week. We ordered 2 x scampi and chips, 1 x fish and chips and 1 x steak and ale pie. Portions are small, mushy peas were stone cold, and peas with the pie were rock hard. The place was practically empty so not as if they were rushed off their feet! Mash with the pie had cold spots and the pie had obviously been microwaved. Not one member of staff asked how the food was or checked on us, really poor service and the food was a massive let down for the price. Would not return again and deffo would not recommend to anyone! The place was very nice but the food was dismal.limited menu and mundane choice .ordered mushroom soup half a baguette and butter .got cold soup dry bread and flora .sent soup back and was replaced by the smallest amount of soup. The burger served with iceberg lettuce had on tiny bit of wilted lettuce and the burgers were tough.

We arrived around 8pm on a Monday night and it seemed like the restaurant was about to close. However, the staff must have noticed our disappointment and invited us to sit down. Thanks to their hospitality, we ended up having a wonderful meal. A big thank you to the staff and chef! Réservez une table maintenant

Went for Sunday carvary with my wife and our dog Charlie. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. But best of all the food was excellent and plentiful. It is rare in our experience to find a dog friendly, people friendly pub that does great food!.

The pub is charming and the Sunday lunch carvery is fantastic! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I'm already looking forward to returning next week.

The carvery was amazing! The meat succulent and the veg as fresh as can be! The staff were also very warm and friendly. We will definitely come back again!
