I think rating this place 5 stars is a bit insulting because it definitiw deserves more than that. this pub is a real hidden gem and the family that run the pub are amazing. yesterday evening with my family got into the house and it was busy, but the place is exactly what they want. a family-run pub that serves great beer and good food. I felt very at home and my laws live in shrewsbury, so when I'm back down, I found the best pub to eat and go a drink.
Very enjoyable Sunday lunch last week with a large party of family and friends including my son who is allergic to nuts. Debbie at the New Inn was so helpful and reassuring that his allergy could be catered for that he was able to enjoy his first ever meal in a restaurant. This was a big step for him and so all credit must go to Debbie and the staff at the New Inn for making this possible. Thank you.
