I/we were left very disappointed with the food we ordered. When ordering I specifically told the waitress how I wanted my food cooked. As we were both having the same thing and when it arrived we could not tell which one was which, the waitress delivering the food did not know either! I asked to speak to the waitress that had taken my order and asked which was which. She said they were both the same as she had not put my request in with the order!!! I was gobsmacked. As I was there with my friend and we have not seen each other in ages I did not want to tarnish the evening by complaining so ate what I deemed was a horrible and expensive meal as it was not how I wanted it at all. It was dry a...

What a lovely welcoming pub. The chef had changed recently and we wanted to try it. The food was amazing! I had fish and chips the fish (as all ingredients I was told) was bought that day and was beautifully white and soft. Best triple cooked chips ever! My grown up daughter had the salmon with a crab croquette which we all tried and agreed this was the star of the show and my husband who had eaten earlier in the day had the charcuterie board which was filled to the brim! I had the chocolate marquis with cream for pudding which was excellent and my daughter and husband had cheese and biscuits which wasn’t on the menu but the waitress managed to rustle up for us. Chatted to some lovely people...

We went to the New Inn for Sunday lunch with high hopes, but unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. The food was not served hot, and both my sister and mom struggled to eat their lamb, which had been sous vide but was not tender enough to cut into. The roast potatoes were also not crispy as expected. Despite mentioning our dissatisfaction with the tough meat and lukewarm food to our waitress, no further action was taken. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant.

I thought the food was good, especially the chips which were the best. I agree with another reviewer that this restaurant has the potential to be great. The only issue I had with the atmosphere was that diners were being disturbed by people purchasing drinks through the dining room bar and standing over our table. I think this is something that could be improved. Our server that night was amazing and probably the main reason we would consider returning in the future. Réservez une table maintenant

Delicious lunch in a traditional village pub. Beautifully presented tasty food. I had deep fried mac and cheese bites with bacon mayo (yum), hake in beer batter with huge crunchy chips (I would have preferred the fish with the skin taken off but that's just personal preference), and my favourite bit was the rice pudding brulee with blackberry compote the best dessert I've had for ages. We had a bottle of french rosé wine which was really good too.

Quirky pub with no car park and too busy to park on street. We had to park a good way away. Food disappointing- my chargrilled vegetables consisted of over cooked aubergine and raw courgette, no colour or flavour. Desserts uninspiring. The beer garden and play area were ok,so would go back with kids for a drink, but not to eat. The waitress was a superstar- very helpful with a friendly smile. She made our visit.

Went to the New Inn for Sunday lunch. It never disappoints. The food is always high quality, as is the service. And of course there is the Harveys on tap. Atmosphere is great. Its one of those rare pubs that still maintains a pub like atmosphere while serving really good food. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Just what we, as a group of musicians, needed between our rehearsal and concert in the local church a quick and delicious meal, served speedily by friendly and efficient staff. A fairly small menu, but everything we chose was delicious. I had the best fish and chips I've tasted for ages! Prices were reasonable too! Réservez une table maintenant
