The New Lamp - Réservation de table

The starter we had was absolutely gorgeous (halloumi fries), however, the main was very disappointing. I had fish chips and my husband had southern fried chicken burger and both of them tasted like they weren’t made fresh but were frozen. The texture for both of them weren’t great! I also don’t know if it’s just the time we went (Sunday lunchtime), but there was only one staff member serving, which meant that service was rather slow at least until another staff member started their shift. Service was alright though.

We wanted to find somewhere local to eat after a walk. The staff were very welcoming and the beef roast dinner was absolutely gorgeous. The soup of the day was lovely, too. They give generous portions. The landlord told me about another local walk. We will do that at some point and come here again to eat. Great place! Parking: About 8 spots in the free car park. Price per person: £20–30

Omg I’ve never done a review before But felt needed to say I’ve bin to the lamp a few times since the new people Have taken over Always found it COVID safe If the last reviewer was local ??? Do u want to loose more of our local pubs The Victoria is now houses the masons is now a Tesco Just give these guys a go they seem to be making a real go of it let’s get behind them

Went there today for dinner, the Sunday roast was INCREDIBLE! By far the nicest I’ve had in a long time! Reasonably priced and a lovely lady serving us. 10/10 Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Cracking, back street boozer. Good choice of tasty food, which was reasonably priced, and the Hobgoblin Gold bitter was on good form. Definitely worth a visit. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
