I can only describe "The Nook" as one of Wantagh's best-kept secrets. It's a hidden gem located right at the entrance of the Wantagh Parkway. We visited The Nook with our family and left completely satisfied. The ambiance exudes old-world charm, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful dining experience. The restaurant was impeccably clean, and the staff was exceptional, always attentive to our needs. They went out of their way to accommodate every request. The food was outstanding, with generous portion sizes that exceeded our expectations. The owner, Tom, was incredibly welcoming and gracious. We've returned a few times, and the atmosphere and service have remained consistently excellent....
I was very surprised with this place. Looks run down a bit inside and out but it gives it charm plus I'm thinking during this pandemic who's got money to sink into anything that doesn't immediately need to be fixed. Was getting busy as I arrived. Seems like everyone knows each other. Very friendly place. The prices are very reasonable. Baked clams seemed a bit freezer burn. Got past it. Had the veal. Very large amount. Very tasty. The salmon was a nice piece as well. Place just reopened after closing down for pandemic. Only open on Friday and Saturday nights for now. I am definitely going to be going back for the food and the friendly Cheers vibe.
This is an overlooked gem. It has been here for years with a great menu and great prices. We were actually heading to somewhere else and my husband said let 's go into the Nook and was I glad we did. It has always been warm and inviting, the staff has always been very helpful and they have one of those menus where many things catch your eye. We 'll be back soon. Thank you again for a great dinner.
The food is delicious, the cocktails are fantastic, and the atmosphere has a wonderful old-school nostalgia. The owner, Tom, is incredibly creative and makes an effort to engage with everyone, ensuring that each guest enjoys their meal and overall experience. I highly recommend this place!

Love Tom! And family.. Great music! Great food, good prices. Comfortable place, quaint. Hit on this place by accident. Been going for awhile. Don't let this place fool ya. Worth going.

good service and food ensemble with a hidden rustic case. the French onion soup, Steak au poivre, and Amaretto truffle ice are a must try!
