After hearing great reviews about The Oak Room, we were not disappointed. There was a slight hiccup with our booking upon arrival, but once sorted, we were well taken care of from pre-dinner drinks in the lounge to our meal in the main restaurant. The staff even noticed it was a special occasion and surprised my wife with a birthday message on her dessert while a pianist played Happy Birthday quietly in the background. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, making it a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Good things have heard The oak room that we were not disappointed except on arrival they did not seem to have our booking! However, we sorted wee well saw drinks in the lounge before dinner at the meal even in the main restaurant. After I had asked if it was a special occasion, it was a nice touch to serve my wife's desert with a birthday message while the pianist played quiet Happy Birthday. The food was as good as the service was all about a very pleasant evening and one that will remind us to visit again.

Good food but the staff are so forgetful. We orderred wine and we were still waiting after 25minutes, only to be asked again if we can order our drinks, when directed to the person who initially took the order, it appeared he took the order and forgot about it. The meal was book for 7.30pm. We arrived on time and was in fact had now finally got the drinks, only to receive a phone call on the mobile asking if we are going to turn up for the table.
