The Old Red Lion Inn

Really disappointed in our visit yesterday. 9 of us pre booked for a special occasion and advised in advance one was gluten free. We arrived 1.45 and they had already sold out of the only GF main on the menu and whilst they said they could cater for a GF roast, what this actually meant was they would just remove the half of the dinner (Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and stuffing). There was only 3 X Chicken roasts left by the time we arrived however as we left we noticed them taking orders for this again. When queried they advised 'oh we found some more chicken '. Loved the Old Red Lion. Quirky, quaint in a beautiful setting. We were there as part of a family wedding. Only thing I would say is that the chalets need a bit of tlc, bit shabby in places but nevertheless very comfy. Food was good the staff worked their socks off. It was obvious towards the end they were tired but it had been a very busy weekend for them. The young lady with dark hair specs was a delight. Thank you all for an enjoyable stay!

The staff were wonderful, a beautiful room. Unfortunately you need a car as it is in the middle of nowhere , but easy to find if you have a car.

Did not stay here so cannot comment on the rooms but they look fantastic from the outside. Went for a Sunday roast, delicious
