A wonderful lunch!! From our greeting on arrival and throughout the meal the service was superlative, thanks to the wonderful Charlotte, Lauren and Richard. We cannot praise this enough. Charlotte’s enthusiasm and advice on wines was great I recommend you try the delicious white wine made, amazingly, near Wolverhampton. The food from the reasonably priced set menu was top class creative, beautifully presented and tasty. This place really merits its accolades. We dined in the airy and modern dining room looking out over the square. I am pleased to note that the muzak was pleasant and not too loud. I highly recommend a visit!
Really delicious food. Beautifully presented. I had sea trout, shrimps and creamy mash served in a bowl with toasted kale so full of flavour. My husband had the lamb which was lovely and pink Just how he likes it. For dessert I had the apricot bavarois with shards of meringue, apricots and ice cream, my husband had the cheese board with a generous serving of three cheeses. A nice touch was the toasted sourdough and a creamy cheese butter served before our mains. It was our wedding anniversary and we are so glad we celebrated it at The Old Stocks. this is a pleasant, well-run restaurant in a beautiful old building in the center of stow. eating was quite decent, well presented, and a bit more interesting than most of the upscale pub food in the city. our only disappointment was the very small portion size of a starter recommended.
felt like something was a bit off with our meal, but we are uncertain, but until we saw the menu after our visit, we realized that we were not given our Sunday roasts. Sorry, it was nice to eat.

Excellent food and variation of choice and very attractive ambience with Good service. Will definitely go again next time when we travel to the Cotswolds.
