The Original - Réservation de table

Last night, we celebrated a friend's 40th birthday at The Original. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the entire experience was. The owner, Craig, served as our waiter and he was fantastic! He was funny, knowledgeable, and attentive. His nephew assisted him in serving us and cleaning the table, and did a great job as well. The cocktails were outstanding and the food was incredibly flavorful and delicious. We stayed there for over 3 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. The outdoor terrace was lovely, and Craig even showed us the cozy seating area inside and introduced us to the bartender, who is also a family member. We adore this restaurant for its personal touch and the delicious food...

True definition of a family establishment. It is incredibly impressive what this team churns out. Craft cocktail selection is impeccable Black Manhattan on menu or Vieux Carré off…you’re welcome. Service is both attentive but also engaging and conversational, be open and try something new here, it’s worth it. Everything is clearly prepared fresh and with the highest quality ingredients. I would post about the meal but am sure their menu changes over regularly, but in the event you can get it, definitely check out the short rib, Brussels sprouts, leak and potato soup, duck, perfectly seared scallops/order anything.Thanks for a great experience and see you soon!

We would like to extend our thanks to Eric, Craig, Vinny, and the entire staff, especially Madison, for hosting our welcome dinner. They exceeded our expectations and created a wonderful atmosphere for our special occasion. The food, drinks, and overall ambience at the restaurant were loved by everyone. Dining at their establishment meant a lot to us and we look forward to returning for future celebrations. Thank you for providing us with such a fantastic experience.

I really appreciate that we can make specific reservations for terrace seating. the service was great and the sunday brunch menu has something for everyone. eating is a step over many brunching places. it is in the details: the roasted brot on the blt, the perfectly picked eggs and the burnt bevels on the salat. in any case again to dinner! Excellent Many times I’ve had a dish and have stated “that’s the best cream of mushroom soup I’ve ever had. That’s the best spinach salad I’ve ever had. I think that’s one of the best steaks I’ve ever had”Delicious, great drinks, service and the chef is outstanding

The hand crafted cocktails were great and the food was absolutely amazing. My husband and I had the calamari as a starter and the scallops and duck for entrees. Both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved it, can’t understand why the place wasn’t as crowded as comparable establishments in bay view or walker’s point. Maybe a little further off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Food, drinks, and service all top notch!

Quirky neighborhood restaurant with an outside street level patio. Great food and different cocktails in Milwaukee’s fashionable East side. Great find in my own home town.

Great spot for brunch! They have reopened for brunch service. We tried the monte cristo, the classic and the pineapple cocktail. It was fantastic!
