My favourite branch of The Original SoupMan in New York is this one! To me, warm soups nourish the soul, and every time I have ever felt down or like I have flu coming on, there is nothing quite like a wholesome bowl of soup to make me feel better without fail every single time! What is not to love about Al's Chicken Gumbo Soup (chunks of chicken breasts, tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, celery, garlic, butter, and spices) or his Manhattan Clam Chowder (clams, tomatoes, vegetable juices in tomato and clam broth and seasoned with garlic, onion, butter and blended spices)? I only wish that we could buy Al's Original Soups in South Africa! *Recommendation: With forty-seven different types of so...

The Original Soupman has a unique charm that resonates with all Seinfeld enthusiasts. I initially thought the soup would be just overpriced hype, but it truly exceeded my expectations. While the soup may be a bit pricier than other options, and yes, you can purchase 'No soup for you' t-shirts and coffee mugs, it’s definitely worth a visit. On a chilly New York morning, we tried their Lobster and Crab soup, and it was not just incredibly delicious, but the warm soup really helped us thaw out. Each serving comes with bread, strawberries, and chocolate, which is a lovely touch. I can't wait to return the next time I'm in town!

I recently watched an episode of Seinfeld with my 10-year-old granddaughter, and she insisted we visit the Original Soup Kitchen. We both love this place! Each meal comes with a piece of fruit, a slice of bread, and a chocolate mint after dinner. If you’re a true Seinfeld fan, you absolutely have to check it out! They offer fast food and soups, and it's vegetarian-friendly. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, has takeout options, and is wheelchair accessible. They accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover.

It's to go orders only. That's the only flaw I would say about this place. The lobster bisque had big chunks of lobster in it and was delicious! The chicken gumbo tasted like southern vegetable soup with chicken chunks in it and was also delicious! Came with an apple, spoon, napkin, bread, soup, and drink was seperate I think all in a yellow and black carry out bag which was cool looking. Awesome place. I would definitely go back. I was thrilled to discover this restaurant! The soup is outstanding and offers great value compared to other places nearby. I spent $10 on a small Lobster Bisque, which was packed with generous chunks of lobster and came with bread, a banana, and a truffle. Just a few blocks away, I paid $11 for a cup of potato soup with bread.

I've always wanted to try this restaurant ever since I watched the Soup Nazi episode. During my visit to NYC in May 2015, I finally had the chance to try the Jambalaya, and it did not disappoint! The place has a fantastic atmosphere, and for a quick snack, their lobster roll is also delicious.

I've wanted to try this place for years, and I finally did! I had the lobster bisque and the chicken and rice, and they were amazing! I've never tasted lobster bisque this good before. The meal was perfectly complemented by the bread, plum, and Andes mint. I can't wait to go back!

Ordered the lobster bisque… not life changing. $12 seems crazy for a cup of soup. Came with bread, chocolate, and an apple, which helped the price point be a little more reasonable. Excited to try an iconic spot from Seinfeld, but kinda mid in my opinion. Réservez une table maintenant

Being a fan of Seinfeld and with my first trip to New York coming up this was a no brainer.. I had to try it. I have to say I was not disappointed. Very good soup for an excellent value.
