Hello, during our visit to Newfoundland in early June, my friends and I went to The Outport on our first night in the city. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Throughout the rest of our trip, we continued to dine at The Outport every night, trying a different meal each time. The service remained excellent and friendly, especially from our waitress Bernice. She made us feel like family every time we dined there. We highly recommend The Outport to our friends visiting St. John's, Newfoundland. Well done!
Only minutes from St. John's, this little gem is tucked away in a strip mall on Topsail Road. Their menu will suit any taste but my absolute favorite is the traditional Newfoundland fare. Fisherman's Brewis with scrunchions, fish cakes with scruncheons, cod tongues with scrunchions, and try the chips (otherwise known as French fries) with gravy and dressing. Their hours of operation are 11 am to "whenever things slows down...or 8" whichever is later.
A tradition for wife and I is supper on our anniversary.While there are fancier places in our local it's hard to beat the home cooked seafood at The outport,great soups amazing desertsThe best coconut Creme pie I have ever eaten!Do yourself a favor and eat here Pan fried cod the best!!!
The food is always good and the portions are more than adequate .Staff are always friendly ,and service is great.Never to long a wait on your order.Prices are reasonable and well worth a visit, you'll enjoy your experience.

During my visits, either with my friends or family I found the food excellent, was served in a timely manner and still hot. When the meal was finished we were not rushed out of the restaurant.
The food is good, the restaurant is small, and the prices are not too bad. Give it a try - I don't think you will be disappointed. The fish and chips are particularly tasty.

Great food, dated interior but who cares the food was awesome, gravy comes in a gravy boat. Reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly!

the pea soup is the best I've had. The fish and chips with dressing and gravy was really good. and the coconut cream pie..yum
