We're heading to our favorite cafe in all of Northeast Iowa! The food is homemade and absolutely delicious, and Jane's pie is simply the best! Make sure to visit before they close at the end of February after 24 years of serving amazing food and providing wonderful community service. We send our heartfelt wishes for a happy retirement! You will be greatly missed!
Easy stop for lunch. Pie was a plus. Table service or go from an old service counter. Good selection of local, German variations on traditional sandwiches. Pie sold, so order early! No outdoor seating. Includes shop with local food and wine. We have Iowa maple syrup. Open til 4, but food service stops at 2:30 on Saturday.
Do yourself a favor: if you're traveling along the Mississippi, make sure to stop here for a delicious, award-winning berry cake. Grab a slice to go, then find a bench by the riverbank to enjoy it. You won't regret it!
I stopped in here while in town for a work trip based on the great reviews. I understand why! I had some delicious mushroom soup, corned beef sandwich, and amazing triple berry pie. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant

My favorite place to come for lunch when I visit my parents. Jane makes a beautiful salad (upon request) and her peach pie is amazing!!! So worth every calorie.
