not if you are hungry. for pipers try for their advertised cheap lunch £9.95 for 2 courses) and what we have. the menu consisted of 3 starters and 3 main courses. I had the Risotto starter that consisted of a tasteless 2 spoons of Risotto rice with a few raven and shaved parmesan that were thrown in. the other 2 precursors of carrot and coriander soup and roll mop hering were declared as fine. the main choice consisted of the following, haggis neeps and tatties, which served as the main course, but was exactly what other diner, the next table a la carte) received as starter, crab and chili spaghetti, tasty, but probably not more than a handful spaghetti look...read more

I was here for 1 week for my studies. The room is big enough for me and the sanitary facilities are clean. The waiters and also the cleaning ladies were very friendly. A huge compliment to the kitchen, I have a lot of allergies and the chef made my own breakfast every day, as well as lunch and dinner. All you have to do is let the waiters know, they then talk to the chef and he offers you all the possible options. That's really good service! Thanks!

We booked a group of friends in for the Piping Experience and a meal last night. I have to say I was impressed with the event, the service and the quality of the food. we had a brilliant evening were well fed and had a drop or two of the hard stuff, all on a very reasonable budget and everyone left happy. Thanks Pipers Tryst

This restaurant is a rare find scrumptious food and excellent service. In fact I broke my only have 2 courses rule to have 3 courses. Valerie and Karolina looked after us. Nothing was a bother, they even moved our table to give us a more private and quiet meal. Don’t hesitate to book.

This was one of our favorite restaurants on our trip. I would have gone back a second time but discovered they were closed on Sunday evenings. Typical Scottish food which was nice to try. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Three of us meet, once a month, for lunch. We take turns to chose the venue and I wish this had been my choice! Superb food and a great selection of beers. Service was efficient and friendly.

We were staying at the hotel, so it was very convenient for us. But I would go back just to eat at the restaurant. The food was very good. We also ate breakfast here. Enjoyable!

We enjoyed a Burns lunch in a smaller function room which was perfect for our needs. The staff were wonderful and attentive and the food excellent.
