This restaurant really shouldn't be on this app. For the average person, it seems really very nice and my husband and children enjoy their food. When I asked my server why things like French fries and sweet potatoes are the symbols for *vegetarian* instead of vegan, after checking with the kitchen, she informed me that it is because they also cook meat in the frits... which means they are not vegetarian either. I have tried not to ask any pages with my tofu nuggets what was apparently no option, and my server suggested several things that were made with animal products when I asked (coleslaw- mayo, yams or green bes- butter, etc.). There was no offer for adjustment or accommodation. I landed...

Nice to finally find a veg-friendly restaurant that isn't Italian, Asian, or Mexican! There aren't many veg-specific menu items, but the basics are covered. The BBQ tofu plate is fantastic, not the usual square sponge cake offered at other non-veg places! Waitstaff was very quick to point out side dishes prepared with and without meat, and didn't give the eye roll when asked about vegetarian options. The free range meat and local/organic produce make them an appealing option for a mixed crowd, and all of it is prepared skillfully and tastes great. I have been to vegetarian restaurants that take less interest in their tofu dishes than this place does. The Pit uses Delight Soy nuggets, a non-g...

I went here to the vegan bbq tofu plate that comes with 2 pages, but *none* the pages are vegan. You cannot upgrade to a side salad without $3,50 charge. So I ordered the bbq tofu ranch salad without cheese or ranch and a Balsamico vinaigrette (this allegedly came with bbq tofu, black beans, red peppers, corn, salad and avocado). When I got it, Ranch had it, so I asked to have restored it. I was told that the vegetables and beans were already in the ranch, and was presented with dry (no bbq) tofu atop lettuce as my “Salad”. They finally brought me large cut carrots and green paprika. But come on. This place is not vegan friendly.

My normal culinary experiences here were disappointing. The food was greasy and the server was not informed at all about vegan items on the menu. However, if they did a work event, the food was excellent, so I feel that there could be hope, but that they might not be very interested in getting vegan clientele.
