The Place is extremely popular. Food is really good and the server was great. However, even with a reservation, we had to wait over 20 minutes for a seat. I definitely don't recommend trying to come without a reservation on a Friday. The noise level was extremely loud, and it was difficult to hear the staff speaking to us. There was someone playing music/singing. He was good, but we could only hear him while we were standing at the front, waiting for our table, because of the noise level in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend the restaurant, but I might try coming mid-week next time.
Honestly, the lasagna did not live up to the reviews. I was left wondering why it was so popular. The noodles were overcooked and the sauce tasted like canned minced tomatoes. The cheese and meat were only in the center of the dish and the meat was bland. However, the mushroom risotto and meatball appetizer were delicious. The noise level was very loud, making it difficult to even place a phone call. An elderly gentleman was singing, adding unnecessary noise to the already loud small room.
The food was outstanding. Service was great. I tell people going to ‘The Place’ is like going to your Italian grandmother’s house for dinner. The only negative was that we had to stand at the entrance for 15 minutes before our table was ready. We did have a reservation.
The food was great. The butcher paper table covering was different. It was so noisy I’m not sure I can go back. I was hoping on a Wednesday it might not be so bad. WRONG!! Great place and as long as they’re making a lot of money it won’t change.

Love this place. Excellent food. Great little Italy vibe. Live music, excellent cocktails and the food delicious. Chicken Parm, risotto are so good. Lasagne is comb if you arrive early enough.
My family and I always enjoy going to The Place. The staff are very friendly and the food is always fantastic. I tell people all the time to check it out. It’s just that good.

Wonderful food, very busy on Sunday evening, able to watch tiny kitchen, what teamwork! Wait for food, but very good!
