Sat outside for a drink on a spring evening, two main problems 1. Smokers in all areas and none in the designated smoking area ! No matter where I sat there was a smoker right behind me. 2.the outside area was neglected, weeds everywhere, junk and old furniture piled up in the corners everywhere looked untidy and scruffy. What a shame as it could be so much better
A wonderful village pub and the restaurant has been refurbished and Kimberly Wynn the plough landlady is open for bookings every Sunday.Her home cooked Sunday dinners are delicious and great value for money. You can still book for Christmas day festive dinners.5stars
Perfect homely place to enjoy a pint. Good range of ales and nice decor. I didn't enter this traditional village pub expecting a modern gastronomic culinary experience like some of the other simpletons reviewing, so I wasn't disappointed at all.

Supportive of the live local music scene. Can be tight for space (as a musician). Friendly staff. Perfect for a quiet village pint or a rocking Saturday.
Great staff and colourful locals. A relaxed drinking pub (bar snacks are available), with pool room. Perfect!

"Visited for lunch today after a tour of Hook Norton Brewery food was excellent and lovely friendly service. We were celebrating a friends 60th and they kindly decorated a plate with chocolate Happy Birthday and put a candle in his dessert. Would highly recommend!"
