My family visited The Chance restaurant last Wednesday and were warmly welcomed and seated promptly at our table. The menu was intriguing, and my mother opted for her favorite, Ham, Egg, and Chips. The menu stated three eggs, but my mother has a small appetite and requested only one egg. I chose the special "Duck in a sweet and sour sauce". Although there was a bit of a wait, our dishes arrived hot and freshly made - both were delicious. We didn't have room for dessert, but the options sounded tempting. Dropped in for Sunday Roast. While busy they managed to accommodate us at a table for 2. A few menu items had run out but that was explained and understandable. Food was great but I would recommend booking in advance. Parking: Slope up from Car Park to front entrance but there is a rear door too. Very enjoyable Sunday roast and fish and chips ! thank you. Booked at short notice, we enjoyed our meal in the warm and welcoming pub. A lovely open fire and of course, dog-friendly.
