Although have been a resident of Chelmsford area for 3 years this gem of a pub escaped my attention being just off Boreham church! Great selection of real ales, really nice home cooked food, friendly bar staff and a lovely garden...ticked all the boxes for what I look for in a great pub!

beautiful small foundation during a afternoon hike. embedded in the city boreham. stopped for a fast pint, very friendly staff with a good feeling of humor. beautiful beer, sun was outside, sat in the beer garden. recommend in any case

yesterday at the bierfestival. great pub, great atmosphere and beautiful staff. the cornish bags were perfect after a few ales. the allykats also played and they went down a storm!

Very nice, another quality local pub. Good dinner good price, would have been 5 stars but there were cobwebs above where we were seated. Kick start the cleaner!!!
