The Queens Road Tap

We popped in the Tap for a late afternoon drink on a summer evening and were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable barman some gorgeous beers on tap here, plus ciders also local gins and there is wine, too. My husband had a great pint of his chosen ale, I enjoyed a beautiful gin. The second day we popped in twice, in fact, as it was so good and certainly the best place for a drink in the area busier in the evenings, which adds to the atmosphere. No food is served, except perhaps nuts or crisps, but well worth a visit for the drinks on offer.

Good variety of well kept beers available, keg and cask, with some great flavours. Didn't feel rushed when deciding what to try and barman was knowledgeable and made good suggestions, with samples. 1/3s and 1/2s available so could try a fair few of beers on offer. LOVED the Choc Cherry Porter!! We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and will definitely be regular visitors.

Finally visited Queens Road Tap. I found the place quiet and lacking in atmosphere. But it is a nice place to try craft (Keg) beers. It was quiet but I enjoyed our visit here. Tallgate brewery beers. Normally four guest Keg which are served in one third, half or two third. No pints. Also usual Tallgate beers.

Lovely place, nicely laidback and friendly. Great staff who are knowledgeable about their product without being know-it-alls. Never in your face and allow space to choose. Most importantly a place that encourages both inclusivity and acceptance. Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent, bar with a wide range of craft beers, many from the house brewery. Very knowledgeable, friendly barman. Locals seemed friendly, interesting bunch too, reflecting what I'd heard about this neighbourhood!

Love that this had opened much need addition to the area. My only observation on recent two visits when there have only been a few others is the atmosphere feels a little ‘cold’ maybe a bit of background music?

The Tap is a solid place to get some craft ale although it does have more of a feel of a cafe then a pub. A good place for one or two drinks but not too spend all night in.

Loved it amazing drinks, lovely staff, great clientele! Spent an afternoon here and it was a delight, I’m going to try to persuade my mates to come along next time. Réservez une table maintenant

Laidback place with a great variety of beer, a nice rotation of an offer too. Good gin options too....

Had a pint whilst waiting fior a kebab from Pavlos opposite. Great beers and cider. Lovely atmosphere.
