Food is of course amazing, tried hard not to compare with other Micheline star restaurants I ate before. The decor is too bright and cleache, we understand that we asked for substitutes and they kindly did provided for most part of the menu, I think that would have cost them more hence they didn't give us one dish, would have appreciated if they had substituted with another small dish or could have atleast given complementary water (water isn't cheap . The food is a great experience, world course is amazing faultless. Can't say the same for the signature dishes (may be not for my pallet . We went to Raby Hunt to try their final menu. We had been wanting to visit for some time and made sure to go before it closed. The food was excellent and every course was delicious. Despite not usually being a fan of seafood, I enjoyed every dish. Our favorite items were the Tostada from Mexico and the Nikkei Cuisine from Peru, as well as the amazing bread and butter. While the service was efficient and our glasses were always full, it lacked a personal touch and felt quite rehearsed. One aspect we disagree with is the automatic addition of a service charge (not just at Raby Hunt, but at any restaurant we visit). We prefer to leave a tip based on our own discretion and budget. We came specifically for the dining experience, as this restaurant is rated as a 2 Michelin Star establishment, and we were not disappointed. From appetizers to desserts, it was a culinary journey with flavors exploding in our mouths! The tasting menu was absolutely amazing, especially when paired with the wine which enhanced the entire experience. We recommend pairing the menu with the wine to fully appreciate the flavors. I should clarify first I didn’t get to go this review is based purely on customer service. So I booked as a treat for me and my husband, a meal and to stay over. I got flu the night before going and had to cancel I wanted to move it but cost was the same. I had to pay wait for it the full price of the room £275) and £480 for the meal. I am struggling with what would the 2 of us could have eaten for £480??? I understand cancellation fees I really do but nearly £800 for a night I didn’t have and had called them about. This restaurant is a hidden treasure. It is a fantastic 2-Michelin starred restaurant located in the picturesque village of Summerhouses. The service is attentive, the menu is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, making for a high-end dining experience. Although we did not stay overnight since we live nearby, I'm sure the rooms are just as exceptional as the restaurant. Thank you to James, Maria, and the entire team for a wonderful experience! So you email to say you’re pregnant and they say they’ll let the kitchen know and then turn up and no one has a clue and offer no substitutions to a bunch of raw fish and steak tartare. So you pay tasting menu to eat half of it. Pointless overpriced experience I’m afraid. Competing with setting money on fire and very little else.
Absolutely faultless, from start to finish. Without any doubt the best dining experience we have ever had (not taking anything away from the service either)! Sommelier was fantastic, as was all other parts of service. We've already messaged friends to book again later this year.
