good place to meet friends for a chat when locally. can get a table at the weekend, in which regular busy but not packed. eat always excellent and menu change regularly seasonal and fresh. may eat a bit expensive for a pub, but it is worth it and a good bet if they want something on a Friday or Saturday night without booking. steak is always a winner. I had sirloin and ribeye sirloin not in the rule my favorite steak, but all steak here tastes amazing and is full of taste. service can be variable, like drinks. some good wee, but sometimes a bit watered or were served inferior brands of spirituose, especially closer to the end of the night. have not been fun at her...read more

The Railway is a large old pub with indoor and outdoor tables. We went to have a dinner with family. They had a good selection of beers, wine and other drinks. The menu had several starters and main courses. The staff were quite nice and friendly. I would have provided a higher rating, however they were very inflexible when we asked for slight variances to the plates. The meals were nonetheless quite tasty.

very nice and child-friendly. solid pub. clean and bright with wooden and chairs. Organic food and wein were all our dishes delicious. large box of toys and books for children. large outdoor terrace, with a covered piece for desperate smoker. many go to Quiz Nights, comedy, live music, bauernmarkt etc. a jewel.

From an old bloke's point of view this is an old fashioned pub that reminds me of some happy times of a misspent yout. Proper bar, proper seats, lovely staff, good, wholesome food. Exceptional fish'n'chips. Its right next to Streatham Common railway station and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

The bar staff are absolutely amazing. I have no idea what the fella is talking about before. All I have experienced is five star hospitality. The food is exceptional especially the chicken schnitzel and the steak. The Christmas menu is lovely. And I have have tried it

great food! we have eaten there about 5 times and eating is always good, even if super busy. they are also very friendly with dogs and have a beautiful garden area from the back.

Really warm and nice pub. The food is a little on the pricey side but definitely worth the money. Have tried the Sunday roast and the pork belly and they were both great.

Baby-friendly, great service and top selection of craft beer on tap. They also have a baby pub quiz once a month. For parents with young families it ticks all the boxes
