We've been going to the raj frequently for about a year now and the food is probably the best Indian food I've had, I generally have a different dish every time I visit and all I've had is super tasty, I love that with a selection of the dishes, you have the choice of a balti variant. Overall, the staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and price is more than fair. I visit at least once a every few weeks and will definitely go back. Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of Indian food.
The Raj doesn’t disappoint, it is consistently good. Came here bank holiday weekend, the food is so fresh and staff provided a friendly atmosphere. Catered well for our children 8 6, they had home made chicken nuggets, we had tandoori prawns sizzling, good quality and plentiful, also lamb saag which was so fresh and mild, very relaxed and even though we didn’t bring our own wine (had a bottle of house white) it was still good value.
My favourite Indian food takeaway in Comber and Ards area. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. The decor in the dining area of the restaurant is basic but the food more than makes up for it. There is no corkage charge for our own wine so it is a very reasonably priced dining experience. I have always received a small complimentary Bailey's each time I have dined there. Looking forward to my next visit with friends
Warning, if you order food on a Saturday night then delivery times are a lottery. On a normal busy period expect 1 hour. What is frustrating is to be told 30-40 minutes and then to wait 1.5 hours. This has happened one time too many. Food is absolutely fine. But delivery times are random at best. Pick up only to avoid disappointment. Réservez une table maintenant
The RAJ is a family favourite and has a broad menu of great tasty food. We find that the Balti dishes are great with lots of flavour. Another lovely meal is the jalfrezi it's hot but not crazy hot. We often visit the restaurant too and the service is always pleasant. We are blessed to have such a nice takeaway in Comber.
Take away delivered for my wife and I, arrived piping hot and everything was so tasty. We have been ordering from the Raj for 30 years and have rarely been disappointed. Best Indian restaurant in Comber, possibly the best in NI! Thanks again for a fantastic meal.
From a wide range of options the Murg Silsila looked appetising as a Chicken dish with a sauce which had coconut, almond, yoghurt and fresh cream and was described as mild. it was nicely served , in a smart upstairs Restaurant, and tasted good.
People swear by this Indian, they do amazing lamb rogan josh that’s done with a layer of cream. Free popadums. The price isn’t too expensive and it’s nice inside. It’s one of the oldest Indians established in the 80s. Réservez une table maintenant
Fantastic food and amazing service! The chicken pakora was particularly nice along with the chicken tikka masala! The Indian breads where delicious and do fresh definitely a must go to Indian restaurant!
