My wife and I have been enjoying The Raymond and the 1886 Bar for about 15 years. There's something special about this place--the cozy/romantic interior, the amazing bar, the way the staff seems to always recognize and welcome us. They make us feel at home there. The bar is particularly noteworthy--you'll be hard-pressed to find a better cocktail not just in Pasadena, but in Los Angeles. We enjoyed a memorable Sunday brunch on the expansive patio of the charming The Raymond 1886. This historic restaurant offers fine dining with a rustic elegance. Our large party enjoyed an assortment of dishes: fresh seasonal fruit, delish waffles berries, eggs Benedict (cooked to perfection) grilled shrimp salad and so many other delicious entrees. We even indulged in desserteverything was delightful!! The chef brings his A game!! Make sure to visit the bar; personable bartenders will lead you through their many unique creations to enhance your dining experience. Our group had truly the most enjoyable brunch at this charming and historic establishment, we were a really large group so we had an opportunity to order many items and everything that was sampled was just incredibly delicious! Their mixologist didn't miss the mark. their cocktails were divine. Some of our favorite dishes were the omelettes, waffles, eggs benedict, salmon avocado toast, too many to mention because we were all so pleased with the quality of dishes served here. Can't wait to go back!
I had a wonderful brunch at the Raymond on Sunday with a large group of friends. Everybody had something different and we were there for hours. The time went by quickly the drinks were great. The food was superior, and the service was excellent. If I could give more than five stars, I would. It was perfect. Waiter was not a professional. Not bad, just a greater delay in service and he couldn’t pronounce the items on the menu. For this kind of money, you expect better staff. He wasn’t all bad, just not great. Cocktails are out of this world amazing. But took longer than they should to be delivered to table (waiter issue) Valet parking cheap. Wow! Atmosphere so cool. We had the best time with a group of friends the ambience was perfect in the garden on a hot afternoon (although I have to go back on a cold day and enjoy the inside next , the food was delicious and the cocktails incredible.
