Booked a table for 6 for my Gran’s 90th birthday. We had a lovely lunch, the staff were excellent, food delish and we found the lunch menu to be very very good value. Service was efficient but not rushed in any way. They popped a candle in Grans pudding and sang happy birthday which was a lovely touch. Free parking right outside and an outdoor area for warmer days. Very pleased, will be back again and again thank you Red Lion Rooms: 5
We arrived earlier than anticipated and were promptly given a table while waiting for our room. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and well-organized. We enjoyed lunch, which included a delicious pie and excellent stout. Breakfast offered great value and quality. Overall, I would rate the rooms as a 5, the service as a 5, and the location as a 4. Hotel highlights: exceptional value!
An old pub in need of a face-lift. Food is surprisingly good. I had the Cumberland Sausage and Mash, which was very good. Walkability: On the edge of the village around 15 minutes walk from The Coniston Inn. Take a torch. Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Great value
