The Red Lion Woodbridge

I came here for dinner with a group of friends recently and although some of them had been before and recommended it, the meal we had was very disappointing. None of the Chef’s Specials were available and all of us felt as though we were expecting so much more from the menu… the Caesar salad was tiny and just iceberg lettuce with watery dressing whilst the ‘crispy king prawns’ were tiny shrimp in breadcrumbs. There was no apology when we raised our concerns and nothing was taken off the bill and we felt we didn’t want to complain further. We won’t be recommending or returning

I stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance during Sunday lunchtime. It was quite busy, but they kindly informed us that there would be an hour wait for the food. The kids got a bit impatient waiting, but that's just kids. Oh my god, it was so worth the wait when the food finally arrived, it was amazing! We dined in the car park, which was a nice little sun trap. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Visited Red Lion on Tuesday evening and was pleasantly surprised to find they were very helpful and attentive in catering for my wife’s dietary requirements. Our server Jensen and Chef Dave made a special effort to ensure the meal was correct.

This pub is fantastic in every way. From its central location to its beautiful decor and furnishings, excellent service, and delicious food, we loved every moment of our experience.

The food was average, lacking in flavor and overly salty and greasy. The service was fast and friendly, with a pleasant outdoor beer garden to enjoy.
