Rex Steakhouse gets a score of 5 out of 10. However, the service provided by Justin was exceptional, a perfect 10 out of 10. I was seated promptly as per my reservation and enjoyed a complimentary glass of prosecco to start. The tuna crudo was the best I've ever tasted, and I also had the mushroom pappardelle, which was very delicious. For my main course, I ordered the whole branzino, cooked to perfection, while my partner had the New York steak and the ribeye. I ordered the 40oz bone in ribeye for $160. The picture below is the 40oz? let?s just say the vast majority of it was the bone. My wife and I got a couple slices each and left hungry. Also, I could cook a better steak on my grill. If your looking for agood steak, go to Morton?s and/or Ruth?s Chris, this place cannot compare and costs more. It was our first time in this restaurant. The service was great. All the waiters were very nice and polite. But I thought that the food served was very expensive for what we got. The beans with tomatoes sauce were inedible, the potato puree was very plain, no salt and basically no taste. My $56 filet was ok. It was cooked the way I like but it was just ok. My husband $70 trio meat was also like mine, just okay. The waiter told us that it was going to take a while for the dishes to be served, so I started my stopwatch. We were walk ups so the only available seats were at the bar. If you are 5?3? or shorter bar seating maybe a bit problematic. However there are purse hooks under the bar yeah! The bartender was welcoming gave us dinner and cocktail menus. . We sawanother couple with bread and butter and ordered that to start. We ordered a bottle of Voss still and I had a glass ofsparkling red wine. . I had the jerk Cornish game hen with frisée and my husband filet mignon with creamy mash potatoes. Nodessert maybe next time. We will be back with a reservation next time.

The server was very knowledgeable and attentive. We were seated upstairs, and everything is delivered from downstairs, which made it feel like we were waiting longer than expected. One of the steaks we ordered was undercooked, and by the time the server returned, it was too late to address the issue. The Caesar salad was excellent, but the Wedge salad was mediocre. The chimichurri sauce was a bit too oily for my taste. While this restaurant may be great for Redondo, it doesn't quite measure up to what I would expect from a high-end steakhouse.

I had the best dining experience in California with a perfect 10/10 for service! The food was outstanding; I ordered the NY strip, and it was easily the best steak I’ve ever had. Our server, Justin, was incredibly helpful and took the time to go over the menu with us to help us choose our drinks, appetizers, and main course. It was a nice touch when both the manager, Franklin, and Chef Walter stopped by our table to check on us. I will definitely be coming back every time I'm in the LA area. Thank you!

The staff was very welcoming and informative. Our server provided a lot of detail about our options for food and beverage. The noise level was almost intolerable. The food was beautifully presented, but very flat. I had the halibut, which was not flavorful, and the risotto was crunchy. The roasted mushrooms were similarly tasteless. I am extremely pleased with this incredible steakhouse. It far surpasses other well-known steak chains I've visited in the past. The salad was beautifully presented and delicious, the steak tartare was unbelievable, and the trio steak simply melted in my mouth. I will definitely be returning!
