The Rock - Réserver une table

Me and a group of uni mates came here to watch the England V Scotland game, even though the match was a bit disappointing, the same can not be said for the service. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and shown to our table...outside. This was a beautiful booth like setup with shelter from the rain, heaters and a tv for the viewing of the football match. The staff were all lovely, making us feel welcome and we had nice chats with them. I’d like to specially thank the bouncer for his great company and the lovely blonde barmaid, who waited on us, even going the extra mile to give me the deal which wasn’t showing on my app. Additionally, the food was exceptional, making me very jealous as my friend got the steak sandwich and it seemed to be cooked to perfection! All in all, an amazing setting and at affordable prices, WITH STUDENT DISCOUNT, what more could you ask for! We will be frequenting this fine establishment from now on during the Euros, and next year when we return for the start of uni again! Thanks guys, I’m sure you will see us soon!

Last visit was before Covid and I liked sitting out the front as they had comfortable garden furniture chairs. It looked good as you walked by and was relaxing to enjoy a drink. They must have had some sort of refurbishment but they have replaced...the furnishings outside with cheap looking bright chairs, backward step. They have also taken away the pool table! Another disappointment. Sadly the bar staff seem very busy and don't engage much with you as a customer. Comfortable interior and enjoyed my beer.

of us visited here on Tuesday. All covid friendly. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We ordered different meals- chicken tikka masala, chickpea curry and burger. All meals were fantastic and big portions! Thanks to all for great food and very friendly atmosphere

I was fortunate to stumble across this pub completely by chance but it blew my expectations away! The staff are fantastic and the menu is well priced a fun evening of football for myself and my friends.

Nice beer, nice food and friendly service. An all round pleasant pub. I had the the Hunters chicken which hit the spot nicely. The pub seemed clean and well kept.
