Met a friend here as a halfway point between London and Cardiff. Super friendly staff and one of the biggest and loveliest roasts I've had in a long time. The staff allowed us to sit and chat for hours which was really appreciated, and then homemade desserts to die for the Baileys cheesecake was epic! Thank you for such a lovely afternoon!
Just had a very nice lunch at the Roebuck, where we gave always enjoyed good food and service. The open fire was lit and there was a pleasant ambience. The staff all very friendly and helpful. The menu choice was very good and the plentiful food was well prepared and presented and at a reasonable price.Altogother,a very pleasant lunch.
The bartender was quite rude. We arrived with a reservation for eight friends, only to find that the place is under new management and no food was being served. There was no apology for our trouble, despite having traveled an hour to meet up. The service was absolutely appalling!
I had a lovely Sunday lunch here and was very pleased with both the food and the service. The mixed roast was generous and delicious, and the cheeseburger was made with high-quality ingredients. Exactly how a family lunch should be. Great food, outstanding service and a fantastic genuine atmosphere. This place came highly recommend through friends and we were not disappointed. Can't wait to go back again.
The High Street was packed on New Years Eve so we drove 2 minutes to the pub, parked in the free car park, relaxed and had a lovely bar meal. The two bar staff were both really helpful and friendly:
A Fullers pub located half mile from the town centre. Very friendly, immediately greeted by the landlord and regulars on entering. Separate dining area, low beams and an open fire.
