I had been eagerly anticipating my visit to this restaurant, and finally, the day arrived. We arrived around 8 PM on a Friday night and waited about 45 minutes, which I had expected and didn’t mind. However, the cramped waiting area left us out on the cold sidewalk with only a beeper that only worked if we were standing right in front of the restaurant, which was a bit frustrating. Once seated, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. There were four of us at the table; two ordered entrees while the other two opted for a selection of small plates. Once in a while, we’ll hear about a fantastic restaurant that’s a little ways away. Kevin told me about The Sardine Room in Plymouth a couple months ago, but it took a while for us to be able to make the drive over. They feature “buck-a-shuck” dollar oysters during their happy hour, which runs 4-6PM Monday-Friday. Although I grew up in Boston, I always found oysters to be strange-looking sea creatures that belonged in a harbor rather than on my dining plate. I must truly be an adult now that I have not only tried oysters, but found them to be delightful little bursts of lemony-ocean flavor. Also, they’re so photogenic! My daughter and I stopped for brunch after she picked me up at the airport. Very cute area. The 'strip ' looks like a college town with lots of establishments and outdoor seating. The overall crowd was youngish, and the vibe was upbeat. We sat outside on a perfect day. Our waitress was appropriately friendly/flirty, and took good care of us. Drinks were good, as was the food. I 'd be happy to visit again.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the cocktails are creative and unique. The menu offers some intriguing options, and the small plates are delicious—ideal for sharing and sampling with friends. However, I was disappointed to see foie gras on the menu. I hope they will consider removing it, as the methods used to produce this dish are quite troubling and inhumane. I decided to give this place a try for happy hour and got the mussels and of course three of their shuck-a-buck oysters. Both we're a great value and of pretty high quality. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating is because the oyster shucker was incredibly backed up and it took a good 20 minutes to get them. Other than that it was a great experience!

Wonderful restaurant! We loved the quality of food, service and the ambience. The scallops were remarkably tender and flavorful. The house cured pork belly paired perfectly with the scallops. All our entrées were exceptional too. Will definitely re-visit.

I really enjoyed the foie gras salad and the fish tacos. The broccolini salad was good and quite unique. However, the wines by the glass felt overpriced, and I was disappointed to see there was hardly any crab on the menu.

Best, freshest oysters I have had in Michigan. The mignonette was on point. We also tried the roasted marrow and the cheese board which were both great. Will definitely be back for more! Réservez une table maintenant

Delicious seafood! We had fresh oysters and halibut. A little pricey, but definitely worth the price. Excellent date location.
