The Scrambler House

This was my first time visiting the Scrambler House and will probably be my last, unfortunately. I ordered online and went to pick up at the bar. Well, what I did, because it was absolutely packed at 9:45 on a Sunday. I stood on the counter for 10 minutes before I was recognized by someone who worked at the restaurant. There were at least 4 employees who then worked behind the counter, and more on the floor that came in and out of the bar area. I was completely ignored; no eye contact, no? We really liked going to this place but I am not sure that we will be back. My Fiancé made a call to them to see if we could do a pick-up order. The girl on the phone said it would be a minute and set down the phone. She still hadn't picked up the phone 15 minutes later. We tried calling back but since she had just set down the phone, it was like the phone was off the hook and it went right to voicemail. Sometimes it's just a quick question and sometimes it's not. If they weren't doing pickup, it would have been perfectly fine and we would have just tried elsewhere. Now that our time has been wasted, we're not happy. First time there and probably won't be back. First impression of the place was dirty. My 18 year old said the same thing. Service was fine she was overwhelmed so not much talking other than what do you want. Food came out FAST. I would say the food was 4/5 nothing terrible, but I wasn't blown away. The bacon was fantastic as was the potatoes. The syrup is MRS. BUTTERWORTH and the bottle is literally sitting on the table. Just wasn't impressed as I thought I would be given the 5 stars from everyone.

OMG absolutely the best omelet I have ever eaten. I had the Popeye Omelet and boy oh boy was it loaded. Melt in your mouth goodness cooked to perfection. Hubby cleared his Steak Egg plate but not before l sampled his fried tators? Delish... This family owned jewel of a find thanks to Google maps is now our go to for great southern cooking. Can 't wait to try the liver onions plus grits. Thanks for great food our awesome server?

Quaint/Intimate..... small dining area, but this allowed for quick service on all levels. Food was hot and very tasty. Portion size was large and coffee on the table was a nice touch. Reminds me of an old-school neighborhood restaurant. Well worth the drive from anywhere in the metro area and if there is a wait, it will be well worth it.

The host, Aly was am absolute joy!!! Our service Debbie was a doll!! The food was excellent!! Good portions for the price. The coffee was very good too! We definitely will be going back, probably more closer than when they open than about 2 hours after they open. We waited about 25 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait though!!!

I'm picky about food service as I'm in the industry myself.Went for the first time yesterday, a busy Saturday morning.Great hostess, great server(didn't catch her name, she has pink in her hair), EXCELLENT food, best breakfast gravy I've had in awhile!!Great Job Scrambler House, we will be back!

BEST EGGS BENEDICT I've ever eaten in 51 years!!!!!! Absolutely delicious! Shaved ham hollandaise sauce is outstanding! Grits r Amazing!! Fast, friendly service!! Plus u get ur own pot of coffee in the table!!! Hubby says breakfast sausage is tasty pancakes r light fluffy!!Food: 5/5

Ordered the BBQ Chicken and Bacon Quesadilla special and found it to be Mediocre. Left wishing I had ordered a breakfast dish instead. Service was friendly and not lacking in any way. Was unimpressed with the overall experience and am doubtful that I would return.
