The Semi-tropic - Réservation de table

It was awesome to visit the bar they use to shoot Dana’s on The L Word: Generation Q with my friends. It is a lot smaller than they make it look on the show. Cinema magic. We sat outside on the patio before they had a screening of the show finale. I heard several of the actors from the show came through later that evening. The drinks were really good. The first drink we got tasted like the juice was off, and the bartender replaced it with a different one with no fuss. **Attention Bisexual Women: Leave Your Unattractive Boyfriends at Home!** I absolutely love this place for Dana's Night! There are plenty of laid-back gay women to chat with, great drinks, and an *iconic* location. They often feature masculine-presenting lesbian DJs who play music aimed at a straight audience for some reason, but the songs are still bangers. I arrived at the event early and finally decided to order some food, and wow, it was delicious—I was genuinely surprised!

Loved the cocktails and atmosphere at The Semi-Tropic! They have a great outdoor patio and very friendly staff. *Update* It's been about a year from my first review. In that time The Semi-Tropic has become one of my favorite bars in LA. The service is always friendly and accommodating. The acoustics inside are pleasant, the patio area is spacious and welcoming. They have a lot of awesome events throughout the year and it's always a great time.

I'm really surprised that you would choose to bring live bands to a quiet neighborhood. Honestly, it feels disrespectful to the community. Before you arrived, this place was peaceful, and the hardworking residents valued their calm environment. Now, with the noise from the crowds and music, it's hard for them to enjoy a good night's sleep. It’s frustrating to see this happen. Réservez une table maintenant

10/10 would recommend! Service was amazing! Author was on point despite being busy and the food was good, beers were good, and vibes were of the charts. Def a local hang. Full house even on a random. Monday night. I live nearby so I will be back again. Happy hour ends at 6p.m not 7p.m, food menu has changed, see pictures and drink menu is updated.

Awesome drinks, tasty side dishes, and a great happy hour! This bar is a bit out of the way from downtown but so worth the visit. Great service, and it has an amazing patio where one can sit outside. Overall, come here for great drinks and tasty food!

We had a drink beforehand and weren't sure what to expect when we arrived. To our surprise, the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere was quite pleasant as well. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area!

Hidden Gem! A cute spot for a quick catch up with friends or alone to focus and get some work done. Sit in the cozy sofa areas, at a table, or outside. Food options are limited but there’s a nice selection of wine, beer, and other drinks. Réservez une table maintenant

Best bar in Los Angeles, per my opinion. Try their old fashioned if you're starting the night, or their twenty-four carrot if you're closing. Great staff, better vibe. Think I'll visit again, just writing this...
