My family and I visited The Serving Spoon last Sunday for brunch. Although the quoted one-hour wait was a bit daunting, we decided to stay—and the 45-minute wait turned out to be well worth it. The staff were professional, attentive, and efficient. Our server, Z, who reminded me of Ciara, was polite and courteous, frequently saying please and thank you to both customers and coworkers. The people were the best part of the experience. I love that even though the location is not the largest the enviroment was great and welcoming. My only issues were the overly loud music and that the food was not what I expected. The chicken was fried to hard and was dry on the inside but the flavor was there. Let me start by saying I’m glad I even got the chance to place an order. The parking lot is small, and it’s clearly a very popular spot. I was a bit disappointed because I went specifically for the shrimp and grits, but they only serve that dish a few days a week—I believe from Thursday to Sunday. That said, I really enjoyed the catfish; everything else was great.

So glad this place is still open, I visited for the first time when the pandemic. Now that things or trying to get back to normal, I brought my husband first time dinning inside. Great service good vibes.
