Met a friend for lunch who was keen go to The Shack. If you're after organic, gluten free, paleo, vegetarian etc food then make sure you try out this place. For us it was a disappointing experience. After reading the menu for more than 15 min, we decided to go with the zucchini pasta noodles dish. We were expecting to see spiral zucchini. Instead there was a plate of zucchini strips that were all different thicknesses (similar to when you peel it with a peeler). The flavour of the dish was overpowered by the porcini and what seemed like soy sauce. It did not reflect the menu description at all. We have visited the Shack on three occasions so as to give it a chance.The first time we just had a coffee and it is average.Second time ordered lunch for two people, they overcharged $14 for the ordered meal - waited for 25 minutes no meal. When we inquired about meals were told what we had order was no longer available, would be like to chose something else.The third and last time we visited (2 people) for an early lunch at 11am they took our orders, we received coffee. As it is a very open kitchen we could see the two people cooking the food doing absolutely nothing and chatting with the girl on the register. Coffee basics can be found here with a few specialty coffees such as the double espresso with coconut oil and grass fed butter. These guys dish out food for the health conscious and people with allergies. This place is a gem in the suburbs. Menu is very extensive with a brekky and lunch menu. Lots of tables and seats indoors and out.<br/ <br/ *wagyu beef burger and those sweet potato fries <br/ *protein pancakes on the sweeter side<br/ *smash avo enough for two!<br/ <br/ This is one place we'll definitely be coming back to.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch here.They offer their breakfast menu till 3.30 pm,so lots of choice for lunch.Two friends chose a vegetarian option,one a salmon dish,and I had something from the breakfast menu-a sweet potato cake,with smoked salmon and a poached egg. Yum! Prices average 22-25 and food quality really good.Lots of locals having coffee too.What I liked was that healthy didn't mean boring -flavour combinations were inventive and tasty.Staff were friendly and pleasant.

I tried the Earth Bunless Burger at this restaurant and I really enjoyed the fact that the fries were baked and the quinoa patty was delicious. My only critique is that the tofu lacked seasoning and was slightly bland.
I enjoyed this food so much. Great food with a difference. Had the cross fit breakfast. Great coffee and service. Totally recommend this place I would say, one of the best breakfasts I have had in a while

We placed our order and paid at 11.10 Place was not busy but tables had not been cleared.
Waited forever for my food when the place was not busy at all.
