The Shakespeare Inn

We visited as a group before a show at the Utilita Arena. The pub's within approx. 5-10 mins walk along the canal. The pub was busy, and there was a good atmosphere. The waiter promptly came and took our drinks order once we were seated. I ordered the beef rib, shin, and pulled brisket pie, and when it arrived, it was massive! The meat was tender, and the pie was delicious, however it it was only a pie lid. You can choose from mash and veg, or chips.

Staying in Birmingham for the weekend. Came to this pub at lunch time menu looked good so went for a meal later on in the evening. Great staff all friendly and accommodating. Lovely building and atmosphere. Food was fantastic, recommend the lamb shanks hotpot and garlic chicken schnitzel. Reasonable price. Great garden. Will definitely come again.

We didn't eat here. This is a lovely trad pub which helps you quit smoking by making you want to sit and take in the superb interior. The beer was very good with a decent selection, though the chap serving didn't seem to be having the best of days. Not an issue, just not as pleasant as numerous others nearby.

The food at this restaurant is amazing - the pies and starters were unreal. The service provided by all staff members was brilliant, but the lady who served us stood out in particular. She was funny, friendly, and provided fast service. Unfortunately, we did not catch her name. Réservez une table maintenant

Went in for a pint, it was fairly busy inside by the bar, didn't check the back garden. The atmosphere was ok and the tennis was just starting to I decided to stay for a bit longer. The staff always polite and helpful.

Food was tasty with generous portions at a reasonable price. Decent real ales and cocktail menu. Not earth shatteringly amazing but very happy, would go again.

Service was very good both the manager and waitress were brilliant, food was also very good, will definitely come back when we are in town for a show.

Nicholson's. Fine, expensive at £6/pint, but where isn't? Good real ale choice, with a couple of locals.

Nice environment. Quite good variety of food. Not many vegetarian options.
