DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE! I encountered a microaggressive bartender during my visit. When I was checking out, he asked if my glow was due to being pregnant, saying, “Or are you just an Asian girl who had one drink?” He followed that with questions like, “Where are you from?” and made an inappropriate comment that “only a Jew would refuse a drink,” adding, “I can say that because I’m Jewish.” I really wanted to enjoy this place, but I left feeling completely offended and disrespected. It’s 2023; they need to learn about diversity, equity, and inclusion. I believe his name was Ari, and he worked on Thursday night, 9/7. Also, there was no live music, which was one of the reasons we came.
A much-needed cocktail bar in West Portal! The cocktails are fantastic, and the service is excellent, thanks to the friendly bartenders. The interior of the bar is also quite lovely. I sincerely hope The Sherwood stays around for many years, provided they maintain the high quality.
Delicious cocktails, and they always have fantastic seasonal options. Great ambience and one of the cleanest bar bathrooms I've ever seen. Bar tenders are always helpful and friendly. The spring Plum Rum was just so tasty I probably had two too many. :
I had an amazing time at The Sherwood in West Portal. The drinks were fantastic, the bartenders were incredibly friendly, and the bar itself has a really cool atmosphere. It’s definitely my new favorite spot for a downtown vibe and excellent cocktails.

Drinks are really nice and it has such a cozy atmosphere, perfect for date night or drinks with friends, even by yourself it's a vibe. Bartenders were very happy to recommend dinner around the area
