"I've been here twice and eaten once. The beer selection is interesting and reasonably priced, and $5 schooners at happy hour are great too. I've had the Croquettes and the Garlic Prawns to eat. While the croquettes were tasty and enjoyable, I must say that the Garlic Prawns were the best I've had in years. I'd even go as far as to say they were up there with the Witches Cauldron, which is iconic in Perth for Garlic Prawns. Really enjoyable night I'll be back."

Came here for a midweek dinner. We ordered a selection of the tapas chorizo croquettes, the octopus, whiting, ribs, garlic and chilli prawns and leek chips. We really liked the croquettes. The serving size of the prawns was great and we loved moping up the sizzling garlic and chilli oil with bread. The ribs were tender and the meat just fell off the bones perfect! We were disappointed with the leek chips but liked the olive tapenade which came with them and the whiting was ok but nothing special. We sat downstairs and the service was good and atmosphere welcoming and warm. There's also an upstairs area. All the tables are high with bar stools so may not be good for older people or if you pre...

Our daughter and her boyfriend introduced us to The Spaniard. We'd booked a table for 4 for 7pm. Our table was ready and the bar was already quite busy with a nice atmosphere. We did notice that part of our long table was also reserved for 2 people so if you're dining as a couple you may end up on a table with strangers. We didn't mind the high tables, but would not have like to have sat near the window where the ledge to rest food seemed a lot higher than the seating. Being tapas, the portions aren't large and whilst tasty some are a little expensive e.g. $25 for 4 quaters of tomato bread with chorizo. The pork belly and calamari were stand out dishes and we enjoyed each dish. Service was e...

Came here on a whim after leaving a neighboring restaurant that failed to serve us after two hours. the Service at the Spaniard by contrast was exceptional. We were served almost immediately and received our food within 10-15 minutes from ordering. We ordered the Pork Belly, Sizzling prawns and beef fillet steak. All meals were fantastic and i will definitely be coming back for more with a larger group. My only criticism would be that the restaurant only offers stools for seating, but this is hardly enough to keep me away as the atmosphere in general was great.

A decent spot for tapas to start off a CBD pub crawl! It seems like the menu changes at least semi-regularly, which keeps things exciting between visits. Most recently, we had the hot chorizo on Catalan tomato bread, the jamón Iberico parcels stuffed with sautéed mushrooms, and the chilli gambas. All of them were delicious and washed down nicely with a glass of sangria blanco! Service was friendly, atmosphere was good, the only minor negative thing is that it can get very noisy! This is a consistent favourite for us, and I would heartily recommend it.
