I hadn't been to this pub in 20 years, but I was really impressed by the recent renovations. The place now looks bright, clean, and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were reasonably priced. They also have offers on selected drinks until 6 pm during the week. It's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're waiting for a train. The pub is just a 2-minute walk from the entrance near platform 6 at Preston train station.
The restaurant has improved a lot ever since Gill stopped being the manager. The atmosphere now feels fresh and welcoming. The staff is very polite, although there was a small issue with the cider handles still being labeled as Strongbow, leading me to mistakenly order a cider I didn't enjoy. However, despite this hiccup, the restaurant's recent revamp looks fantastic and the overall vibe is very friendly.
