The Stirling Hotel

Absolutely love this Pub! Whether its hot or cold the Sterling is a must for a Sunday lunch. This day the weather was average yet the pub was still full for lunch, so we perched ourselves near the fire and waited only a few minutes for a table to clear in the Gin and Pizza bar.  We kicked the day off with a bottle of Tempranillo and while in a pizza bar, ordered some pizzas to share. We had the pepperoni and lamb and pesto pizzas, the pizzas took a while to come out but we were told this at ordering. The pizzas have a very thin base and only  a few high quality ingredient's  and make a great accompaniment to a nice red wine and a share among your friends. The menu has a variet...

Aahhhh Bliss! Who doesn’t love going for a drive to the Stirling Hotel? Pretty as a pic! I have been coming to this establishment for years now and have seen the menu change over and over and over again, which is not unusual, but I would like to make mention that I believe the standards have definitely changed over this time. I prefer the menus of years ago, a lot more interesting and better choices. Perusing the current menu, I was a little uninspired and found it a tad boring. Never the less, order we did! Started with duck spring rolls, nothing to rave about. Chose the special of the day, Barramundi, wedges, fennel salad, caponata. Barramundi cooked perfectly, wasn’t happy with wedge...

Ate at the Stirling hotel this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the food was presented lovingly and everything looked and tasted amazing. To my horror, a girl sitting nearby ordered the soft shell crab tacos and left most of the crab behind because it "freaked her out". I wanted to tap her on the shoulder and say "I'll have it!!" Haha. Good vibes, good menu, good drinks. One downer is its a wee bit expensive for what it is. But I recommend trying it!

Very dissapointed. This used to be a fine establishment but it appears to have taken a turn for the worse. The general manager was particularly rude in my opinion. I ate a seafood dish which has disagreed with me, a stomach curdling end to a lackluster culinary and socially benign night. Réservez une table maintenant

Superb place. Fast, friendly service from all the staff. Excellent food, with generous portion sizes. Great fit out and ambience. An all-round brilliant example of an Adelaide/Adelaide Hills 'pub', transformed into a sophisticated dining experience. Touché, Stirling Hotel!

Been here twice now, absolutely beautiful atmosphere. The first meal there was absolutely spot on. Second time around I ordered a steak which was really overdone. I will definitely still go back, just won't get steak!

Went there twice. First visit was great. Second visit was okay. I ordered medium rare steak and got almost well done :( it was a let down as i hate tough steak. Other dishes were nice though. Esp the duck.

Arrived for a quick dinner at the bistro on a cold rainy weeknight. Chicken schnitzel for me, brisket burger for him. Both very tasty, well cooked and generous. Great service. Relaxed atmosphere Réservez une table maintenant

Went here for the pancake breakfast. Wasn't what I expected. Waiting at a machine for pancakes that weren't very nice. Lovely seating areas inside and outside.

I love the stirling! The food and cocktails are amazing! I love the burrito bowl and also great pizzas! The gin bar is awesome! A great all rounder.
