A must visit place if you are in La Jolla. The food is pretty ‘authentic’ Mexican. This is quite a popular joint, so expect a crowd or a line. We had to wait in line to get in. This is a small, self service deli style restaurant. The service is fast, although they prepare the food fresh. You can see the kitchen, when everybody is cooking. The tacos are amazing here. We took a combo of three tacos. All of them were different and extremely tasty. We took feah chips and a California burrito which was fresh, good, and filling. There is a counter full of different salsa and condiments don’t forget to collect and give them a try with tacos or chips. Absolutely mind blowing.

Excellent tacos — I loved the al pastor, camerones (spicy shrimp), and pollo (chicken). The Baja (battered fish taco) was good, though just a tiny bit over-battered for my taste. Service was lacking. While we got three out of our four tacos quickly, we had to wait for 30 minutes for the chicken taco; and after being told it would take a little longer for that one, they forgot about it and left it sitting with the cashier until we finally asked about it. Great salsas and fixins bar. Cool vibe. Small place with limited seating so plan accordingly.

All right. Your fish are bomb. The fish tastes freshly fried and the sauce there is mmmm good. I have the Elote road corn that was good, but I think they made the lime juice, so it was almost too citrusy. The chips and Guac are good, but the standout was the fish tacos. I had their churros in the past that are for DIE, but the last two times they were from the dough (nooooo! . Please have Churros next time! You make them fresh from the dough when you order! No frozen Disneyland Churros here!! The best!

My friend took me here and said she wasn't here for a while, but just found out that this place was as great as it was remembered. Baja Tacos is a must! Fish was deep-fried under the perfect time. You can say it's so fresh and juicy. Grilled Pescado is also delicious. Fish is tender and juicy. No wonder everyone says fish tacos are the best. Al Pastor is okay. But my tacos may be in bad mood, because the pig is quite dry and hard. Next time I'd take three Baja Tacos. Réservez une table maintenant

I had a great experience at this restaurant and really enjoyed my mushroom tacos. My non-vegan friends liked their meals as well. I inquired about whether the mushrooms came with taco cheese (which wasn't mentioned on the menu), and they confirmed it did, but they were able to hold the cheese upon my request. I'm glad I asked! However, I do feel that, especially in a place like La Jolla, having only one or zero vegan options shouldn't warrant a listing on Happy Cow.

The Taco stand has amazing tacos and, honestly, the whole food is great. It was busy and you have to wait, but it's worth it. The food is hot and fresh. The staff is very nice and the food came pretty fast. There are very little seats inside, but they have a good amount of outdoor seats. With Covid you have to wear a face mask in the restaurant. It is quite affordable and I highly recommend if you like good food!

Fabulous tacos. Shrimp tacos are excellent, but the al pastor tacos are best. Carne asada are just okay, same with grilled fish tacos. Some epic sauces at the sauce counter…though the line to get sauces is longer than the line to get in the restaurant. Have someone order tacos and another person get in line for salsa.

I'm from San Antonio, a city full of great Taco options. The Taco stand is just as good as anyone I had! The line could be long, but it moves fast. It is worth waiting for the juicy but sharp asada, the juicy pastor and perfectly cooked chicken. Come hungry and try as many as possible. Réservez une table maintenant
