During our stay at lodges in Cupar, we were recommended The Tavern for dining. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and were seated promptly. The waitress was polite, courteous, and friendly. Although there was a 40-minute wait for our food, it was freshly prepared to order. We enjoyed the steak pie and haggis chicken, both of which were delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. We will definitely return to The Tavern when we are in the area again.
The food at this restaurant is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely, with friendly staff. We visited on a Monday with a group of 11, including 2 children, and the staff handled everything seamlessly. All the dishes were delicious and arrived promptly. The children's menu offers smaller portions of the main menu items, which made our child very happy as she could enjoy the same food as everyone else. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. After finishing my meal, I enjoyed listening to the folk musicians and singers in the band. The ambiance was great and the pub had a friendly atmosphere. The only downside was that they are no longer allowing dogs in the bar, which may put them at a disadvantage compared to other great pubs in St Andrews.
