The place is alright to eat at, I can?t speak on the beer there but the food is good. The biggest kicker for me is that they charge you for everything. Everything as in including the styrofoam to go box if you want the food to go. Sides also cost you $2 $4 depending on what you want. Drinks in their fridge are non refillable and I imagine cost between $1 $4 depending on what you get. So if you want a decent sized burger $8.50, fries/side $2 $4 and a drink $2 you?re looking at $12.50 $14.50 food with no refills and all self service. Add extra 50 cents if you want a to go box. This is a wonderful little place! As a college freshman, I appreciate that it's affordable for students on a tight budget. The food is outstanding and quite filling. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the St. Pete area. I've lived in Pinellas County my whole life and always make an effort to support local mom-and-pop shops. The owner is very friendly and great with people. And for anyone curious, the Cuban sandwich is fantastic!
This is a fantastic lunch spot to visit after the Dali Museum. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is lively, perfect for a college hangout. I arrived quite hungry after exploring the museum, and the visual feast continued in the tavern. The Cuban sandwich and Chicken Philly were both generous portions that were easy to share and really satisfied my cravings.

I've dined there numerous times, mostly for lunch, and I've always been pleased with the food. It's likely the best fried grouper sandwich in town, and their soups and sandwiches are tough to surpass. Additionally, they offer an excellent beer selection and a lovely outdoor setting, though it can get quite warm in the summer.
If I could give them 7 stars I would! Literally everything I?ve had there has been amazing as well as the staff. And the fried grouper sandwich definitely lives up to its name with a homemade bun and homemade tarter. I can?t believe they?re not slammed 24/7.
One of the best, if not the best open mic ???????? my husband and I have ever attended. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was mouth watering. This wonderful place also had kombucha, so you know I'm happy. I highly recommend this place.
Nice little spot. Great vegetarian selection as well as hearty sandwiches for the meat eater. Throw in a cold beer and friendly service and it's a definite repeat vist place.
