03/25 update Went back to dinner with another couple this evening. The drinks were terrible (1st dirty martini had no olive juice, 2nd was all olive juice). They were out of the white wine I ordered. Appetizers were served super quickly, which was hopeful. We then waited a full hour for our meals. And, my filet mignon was served over cooked; (completely brown and dry and even worse cold. As in, I put my hand on it and it was not even warm to the touch) I cut thru the center in hopes that the brisquet might be ok in the center but it was thoroughly overcooked. This is one of my daughter's favorite restaurants, so we made reservations for her birthday. We had a party of five, and only one person ordered a drink, which was really good. We started with an appetizer of Wontons, and everyone enjoyed them! The food was delicious – we had one chop, one steak, two chicken dishes, and I went with the burger. It was a Wagyu burger, fully loaded, and it was fantastic! I'm usually pretty picky and tend to stick to just a plain burger and cheese, but I ate this one as it came, only skipping the pickles. Went to dinner last evening after not having been there about one year ago. We understood there was a new chef and the menu had changed, but the new menu is unrecognizable, and half the size of the original: nowhere near the amount of fish or it’s variety of preparations, no tasting boards which were a signature of the restaurant), the popular chicken saltimbocca is gone, and the appetizers and sides are different and unimaginative from the original. I realize a new chef would want to make his own mark, but there is no reason to upend an already successful menu. On the positive, the service and ambience were fabulous. As someone who values atmosphere, I found the lighting a bit too bright, and the high ceilings made it feel less cozy since there were no booths or separate areas. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant setting. Overall, I had a very enjoyable meal, but keep in mind that this is a high-end and fairly expensive dining experience.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but it’s definitely changed. The menu has been entirely revamped and our favorite dishes are no longer available. The cocktails were not up to par, and even the half-baked cookie was burnt. I'm hoping this was just a one-time issue, but it was a disappointing dinner.

The Tavern is a great restaurant. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable. The menu includes Sushi, Elk, Beef, Seafood, and Pasta. The Sushi and Crab Cakes were amazing. The Spinach salad has a bacon dressing that is a real game changer. We enjoyed tagatelli and paella. Both were exceptional.
We were very pleased with the food, drinks and service during our last visit. We like when the menu offers just a few options, so you know that the kitchen team is well prepared to make you a good dish with quality ingredients. The bartender was also great with two of their cocktails.

Fantastic cocktails and food. I had the opportunity to try thr filet, the tuna and chicken. All wee delicious. My wife had the elk and it was likely my favorite of the bunch. Sushi appetizer was good, if you are into sushi. Interesting with the cilantro on it.
Rip old menu favorites and hello new menu favorites. The service is still amazing and the new menu has lots of good options. The chef counter is always a great option.
