The Toasted Monkey

Love this place! We're from out of town and we had multiple Uber drivers recommend Toasted Monkey to us. We went around 7:30 on a Friday and the place was packed. We found a table on the upstairs patio. Downstairs there was live music and the vibe was electric! Lots of dancing. We ordered the Chile Lime Shrimp Skewers and Fried Fish Tacos. Might have been the best meal we had on this trip, can't recommend enough. The Chile Lime Shrimp Skewers came with a mango salsa that was delicioussssss. Perfectly flavored, not super spicy. We came at a slow night, it was cold outside, so the place was quite empty. I ordered a fried group sandwich and a long iced tea. The grouper was probably the best meal I had in florida and they made such a good long island! In the middle of the meal I kicked my cup and knocked over my drink. In seconds, I was next to me. I didn't even know where she came from. The interior was clean and very assembled. In a warmer night I can see why this is such a beloved place.

What a great place! We came from North Port to watch our friend's band 22N, and they were awesome!! The food was really good, all the staff were friendly and it's an amazing view. Right across the street from St. Pete Beach, so you know it's nice. I didn't go up, but I saw an upper deck that looks like you can see the beach from and probably a beautiful sunset. We will be back for sure!!

They've been here for years. Moved location and strengthened their game, food still really good and reasonable. You are now the place for bands and good staff. Drink reasonable.

Everything tasted good. Live music and very attentive waiting and bar staff. We also had Asian pork salad packaging appetizer, which I would highly recommend.
