Pretty standard pub food menu, but it is cooked and served to a decent standard. All day brunch is good. Scampi is good. Kids' food is really good. Ours had the fish strips, excellent quality fish finger replacements. And the sausage and mash, lovely sausages! Pub was dead at lunchtime but nice enough environment, with games in the window sill for the kids, nice touch. Smart venue with comfortable seats and tables. Parking could be difficult if it's busy, but we got a space right out the front. Toilets are smart and clean.
Googled somewhere to watch the Lionesses in the world cup final whilst away from home. Found thod great pub. Made very welcome. Lovely sausage ciabata with quality sausages. Shame we lost the match! I stayed nearby and went to The Village Inn a few times for food and drinks. The food is outstanding; if I lived here, I would come every day! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's definitely a place worth visiting when you're in the area. Service: 5 Location: 5
